From caption on back of photograph: "That's a California snow goose eating from the hand of John Bruce Sheehy, seven, of 5733 Roberts Avenue. With John is his brother, Bobby, four and a half." Two young children are feeding a white goose. Both wear jackets and nice clothing. The goose is leaning over to peck the feed out of the hand of one of the children, while the other child holds the bag full of food. More feed is scattered all over the ground. In the background is Lake Merritt, where a multitude of ducks are floating. A few ducks peck some feed scattered along the edge of the shore.
