From "Richmond, Ralph V" photograph. From caption on back of photograph: "Recieved in 1953. This family group, photographed about 60 years ago, shows the late Alameda County Supervisor Ralph Richmond of Alvarado (top row, left) and other members of the family of Edwin Addison Richmond (lower row, right), justice of the peace in Washington Township, 1877-1903, and Alvarado Postmaster in 1877." Family photograph from the late 19th century. There are nine family members, all male except for the mother. They are dressed in formal clothing for their portrait. Most (including Ralph Richmond) wear white shirts and bow ties with dark vests and jackets, but the two youngest boys wear different-coloured outfits and their hair appears to be shaved off. The mother in the center wears a dark dress while the father, at the far proper left, sports a long white beard.
