From "Hamilton, William J. Alameda County Supervisor Died 11-6-38" folder. From caption on back of photograph: "A huge oil painting, showing the Eastbay of the future as seen from a height of 10 miles, has been presented to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors by the Eastbay Regional Park Board. The painting, done by Chesley Bonestell, shows the proposed regional park, the two San Francisco Bay bridges, the World's Fair site, and other points of interest. Here William J. Hamilton, chairman of the Board of Supervisors, and Major Charles L. Tilden, president of the park board, are shown viewing the painting." Two men, dressed formally, observe a large oil painting. The painting is a panorama of the whole East Bay as seen from miles above. Natural features, roads, and farms are all visible.
