This is a model of a rice granary, or lao-kao, used in Laos. It was fabricated of bamboo and wood by Prasert Sytha as a mnemonic recalling his youth in his country of birth. Model is painted red, white, greey, black and natural. Granary is on stilts, with a latter leading to a front deck and entrance. Granary is set on a wooden platform, and is surrounded by a fence of three rungs. PCK
