Unglazed white ceramic sculpture mounted on wood under a Plexiglas vitrine. Rectangular slab of ceramic is formed with wavy surface and a large peak at center similar to a cross-section of a rough body of water. A rowboat with slat construction appears with the bow just breaking through the wave peak at center. One of the boat's oars is in the oarlock on the starboard side while the other appears broken in the waters just off the port side.
