Timetable from the Western Pacific Railroad of December 1950, which features the "California Zephyr" and the "Zephyrette." Western Pacific ran from Oakland to Ogden, Utah, and partner lines carried passengers to Chicago. Western Pacific built through Feather River Canyon north of Oroville, and was California's third transcontinental railroad. TImetable is red, blakc, and white, with photographic illustrations of life aboard the "California Zephyr." That train ran from 1949 to 1970, and brought back under Amtrak in 1971.Western Pacific Railrood itself was merged with Union Pacific in 1982, losing its corporate identity.
