Abstract collage of mixed media on masonite. Objects such as a plug, lightbulb, string, and cloth are attached to the composition at left. The majority of the composition is covered with matte gray paint (including the attached objects), with a rough-edge square of metallic gold paint at center left.

Note on gift agreement cites "APG-XX-9 in VCD Catalog. 1987."Written by Phil Linhares on Curatorial catalogue sheet (see file): "I met with Daniel Shapiro's daughter [and] family friends at a storage facility in S.F. on Folsom St. We reviewed several hundred of his stored works. I selected this work as an early example of his. He was quite well-known as a printmaker. [He] taught at UC Davis 1959-1982 with Wayne Thiebaud, Avalon, Neri, Wiley, etc."
