Single playing card from the "McCain Presidential Playing Cards" deck. Image in the center of the card is framed in a red rectangle. CC: Is the three of Clubs and depicts Charleton Heston, dressed in "ancient robes" pointing to a sign "Let my people go" with one hand and holding a rifle in the other. "Charlton Heston Actor & former President of the NRA."

There is a complete set of playing cards (52) along with two Jokers. Charlton Heston played Moses in the 1956 film "The Ten Commandments" with Yul Brenner playing Rameses; he also had many other outstanding roles. In 1959 he was in "Ben Hur" and received the 1960 Oscar for his part in that film, as Best Actor in a Leading Role. In 1978 the Academy awarded him the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and in 1984 the Screen Actor Guild gave him their Lifetime Achievement Award. He started out his political life as a Democrat and was an early supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. From 1998-2003 he served as President of the Nationa Rifle Association. His political views morphed and in his later years he was known as a political conservative. Heston died in 2008.
