Ford, wearing a blue and gold letter sweater for the University of Michigan. He holds a pennant "McCain." Ford's foot is resting on a football. "Gerald R. Ford, 38th President of the United States."

There is a complete set of playing cards (52) along with two Jokers. President Ford had been actively involved in football as a student at the University of Michigan. (He went to the University of Michigan after having been a star football player at Grand Rapids South High School.) He served in Congress, representing the state of Michigan, and served as the Minority leader. Spiro Agnew resigned as Vice President of the United States on October 10, 1973. Ford was appointed Vice President of the United States, sworn in on December 6, 1973.
