This unused postcard features a black and white photographic image of "Franklin St., Monterey in 1887" which is printed in white at the lower proper right corner of the image. There's a small white border around the image. In the photo the Vienna Restaurant is visible on the proper right, several buildings on bothe the right and left. Three men with shovels appear to be working on the street, perhaps shoveling muck. A small girl (wearing a dropped waist dress and a large hat) stands near two men. Behind them is a horse drawn wagon. Behind it is a street light.
