Highway sign with word "Caution" on top and a depiction of a family (man, woman and child) holding hands and running. The sign warn drivers of border-crossing immigrants running accross the freeway. This sign was used on Highway 5/805, near San Ysidro. When I inquired about obtaining one of these signs from Caltrans as a gift, it turned out that there were several that were in use and in need of replacement. This sign was removed from the freeway and sent to the museum, and then replaced. Photographs of the sign when it was on the freeway can be found in the donor file. (A. Nilsen, Mar. 5, 2009)
