Two young, physically fit, African-American men dressed in gym shorts, t-shirts, white socks, and athletic shoes are in an athletic shoe store, engaged in exercise. One man, in white shirt and dark trunks, right (proper) of center of image, is in the foreground on a treadmill (which is on a platform), looking directly at the viewer, smiling broadly. The other man, in dark shirt and white trunks, is on the left (proper) of the center of the image, closer to the viewer, and is looking up, about to shoot a basketball into a hoop that is suspended at the top right (proper) of the frame. The store has displays of athletic shoes, and in the background is a chain-link fence. On the wall behind the man on the treadmill are three television monitors, all on. On verso is the text, in blue ballpoint pen, "Demont Price and William Brew." Also on verso is the stamped text, "Jul 23 1993"and "Matthew J. Lee."

This image is a companion to image number 2009.1.11, which portrays their store, "Sneakers Plus," and the shoes for the homeless promotional/charity campaign their store is running. (Bring in a used pair of shoes for the homeless, get a $7.00 discount off a new pair of shoes.)
