An image of two African-American boys, brothers Trey and Ian Hackney, who are standing side-by-side, arms over each other's shoulders, posed for the viewer. The setting is inside a house, curtains, a staircase, and wallpaper behind the boys. The older brother, Trey, age 12, is wearing a Bell bicycle helmet and a "Barcelona '92 [Olympics]" t-shirt; to his (proper) right is his younger brother, Ian, 11, not wearing a helmet. Ian has on a striped and patterened dark-toned, short-sleave button down shirt, and has a close-cropped (flattop-style) haircut. On verso is the photographer's stamp, "Gary Reyes," and the date stamp, "Sept 9 1992." Also on verso is the description, handwritten in black ball point pen, "Trey Hackney age 12 credits his brother Ian age 11 for calling 911 and saving his life. The two are VERY close."
