Buzz Lightyear

This soft finger puppet is made of a white knitted synthetic fabric, with bands of lime colored fabric at the elbows, the waist, boot tops, toe caps, and as a yoke/power pack (front to back) that is also marked with "buttons" on the front and "Danger! Jet Exhaust" on the back. There is a black waist band. The bottoms of the boots are purple, and there are two purple satin ribbons at the front of the yoke/power pack. At the top of the figure is a peach colored head with a toothy smile and blue eyes. The head is encased in clear plastic. You can reach into the arms (with your fingers) to operate the puppet in the back under the power pack.

This finger puppet was a give away promotional toy at Burger King. Buzz Lightyear (the name of the character) was featured in the Pixar animated film (released by Disney Films) "Toy Story," made in 1995. In the film a little boy has a wooden cowboy doll called "Woody." For his birthday he receives Buzz Lightyear, a new action toy that flies by means of "jet packs," speaks, and talks about going "To infinity and beyond." The boy is quite taken by Buzz Lightyear. Woody feels ignored. The two dolls, during a mutual adventure, come to admire each other, and the little boy realizes that he likes both dolls.
