Gift of Martha Guadalupe

Front side of card shows the words "My California" in the center, with the words "NO HAY CARGOS DE CONEXION!" ("There are no connection charges!") at the top and "Tarjeta Telefonica Prepagada" ("Pre-paid telephone card") at the bottom. The words "BAY AREA" are written vertically on the right, and the price "$5" is written in the bottom left. The reverse gives instructions, written in English and Spanish, for using the card to make phone calls. A scratch-off area, which has been scratched off, exposes the PIN (personal identification number) used to place the phone call. The top edge of the card shows perforations where the card was torn off of the hanger on which it was sold. Used by Martha Guadalupe, an employee of the Oakland Museum of California's restaurant, to make phone calls to her family in Mexico.
