Plastic water bottle with missing cap. Label is completely in Spanish, with the most prominent words reading, "Manantial El Encinal" ("Oak Grove Springs"), "Agua Purificada" ("Purified Water"), "Para mantener una vida sana beba por lo menos 2 litros de agua diaros" ("To maintain a healthy life drink at least 2 liters of water daily"), and, "Pureza que se admira" ("Purity that is admired"). Other text describes the process of purification, water's health benefits, and information about the company. This artifact was found on Morning Star Ranch, a ranch in the town of Boulevard in San Diego County, two miles north of the California/Mexico border. Donna Tisdale, the owner of the ranch, retrieved this object as one of many items that people crossing the border through her ranch have left behind. In the donor file is a description of the ranch and the border crossers, as well as thoughts on immigration, written by Tisdale.
