This ivory colored silk ja cket has long sleeves, a stand up collar and fastens down the front with two large, black hooks and eyes. The jacket, lined in purple, has a band of purple silk bias tape at all of the edges, including the cuffs. The collar and cuffs are trimmed with an old gold colored silk band, appliqued with dark blue silk and rust colored cotton cloud shapes. The panels down the front reflect similar motifs as those on the cuffs, but work down to a small blue silk stream and a series of irises. A wide band around the bottom has a larger cloud motif as well as larger irises. The front and back are also appliqued outside of the bands of pattern. Stylized wisteria, cream colored birds and narcissus are featured on either side in the front and back.
