This is a gouache painting on paper that shows a woman on her hands and knees in the center of a kitchen floor with a pail, rag, and scrub brush beside her. A man in a toga and sandals stands behind her. The man's upper body is out of frame, but his face is reflected in a puddle of water on the floor. The man holds an amphora in his hand and a lyre rests against a refrigerator at center right. The phrase "HO PAIS KALOS" appears on the refrigerator door.

Ho Pais Kalos can be translated as "The boy is handsome"
