This is an evening dress, or a party dress of pink silk crepe de chine, is designed to be worn by a young woman. The empire style bodice is decorated with bands of beading on net, edged with bands of narrow aqua colored velveteen ribbon. The larger band which runs under the bustline is also trimmed with rhinestones. Smaller bands of beading decorate the "V" neck, which is filled, front and back with horizontally tucked net inserts. The sleeves are shirred net, with narrow bands of beading at the bottom, just above a small flounce of net. The shoulders of the dress are shirred (pink silk crepe de chine) and the edges at the sleeves are finished with picot edging. A large, vertical bow of aqua colored velveteen decorates the high waist in the back, with streamers falling down over the skirt. The skirt is decorated with a band of beading, trimmed on either side with the narrow, aqua colored velveteen ribbon used on the boice, about 3/4 of an inch above the hemline. There is a gathered area over either hip ; each is decorated with a tiny band of the narrow aqua colored velveteen ribbon, with two ivory colored silk tassels at each end of the ribbon. The dress is lined in pink china silk, with a very deep pink silk crepe de chine band at the bottom.
