Printed in red on this yellow square of coroplast is the outline of a stop sign, inside of which are the words "STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION." In the bottom left hand corner are the words "Paid for by Tan Nguyen for Congress." Used by the Campo Minutemen. Deborah Sattler, a member of the Campo Minutemen, wrote the following to accompany this artifact: "These were manufactured as part of the unsuccessful Tan Nguyen campaign for congress against Loretta Sanchez. Many of the Minutemen, especially the Viet Nam Veterans, worked on the campaign and, when it was over, kept dozens of the signs. They have been distributed to other activists, and have been used in rallies in Texas, Chicago, Arizona, and Nevada and photos of the sign are often featured in media photos and footage. The red and yellow colors are the Vietnamese colors of good luck and are also the most visible in cloudy weather."
