Along the bottom center is "This poster, entitled "Shrine of Hypocrisy" is of the U.S. Mount Rushmore National Monument, joined by Sitting Bull surveying the scene. The Black Hills, where the monument is, were guaranteed to the Lakota People in the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 and as the quotation by Old Joseph (Chief Joseph's father) says, the land was never sold to the U.S. This poster is one of a series published by Akwesasne Notes, and is available on heavy poster paper. Poster consists of a sepia image within a thin blue border with red and blue text on white paper. Image depicts Mount Rushmore National Monument with the head of Sitting Bull with a feather on his head imposed on the top of the mountain between Presidents Roosevelt and Lincoln. Text under image reads ""Always remember. Your fathers never sold this land" - old Joseph." Logo in the top left corner depicts a North American Indian head and the text "the native American revolution bicentennial 1776-1976 / 200 years of Resistance."
