Poster title "Asian Pacific Heritage Month" vertically along the left side of the poster extending along the top 3/4. A bar beneath the title with a small diamond centered along the line separates the title from the subtext "Special Features Throughout May. In The Examiner." The rest of the poster is filled with years in which noteworthy Asian American events took place, starting with 1587 at the top left, moving downward and forming six columns, finally ending with 1992 at the bottom right. Each year and event description is separated by a red bar. Interspersed throughout the text are six photos that correspond with six of the dates. The first photo is an old cartoon with the caption "'the Chinese must go' was the slogan of the Workingmen's Party". At the bottom left is a black and white photo of Queen Liliuokalani and at the bottom right is a large cropped photo of Krisiti Yamaguchi. The centered photo is Bruce Lee and at the top right are two photos, one of Kyung-Wha Chung and another of Lt. Col. Ellison S. Onizuka. A red border encloses the text and photos, leaving a .5 inch white border all the way around.
