Poster printed with black ink on brown paper. A sculptural figure with large round eyes is centered on the page. The figure stands with its left arm raised in the air and the other arm placed with the hand on the right hip. The sculpture has a form shaped like a ''w'' attached to its head and right shoulder with cylindrical rods. A decorative border surrounding the sculpture on three sides has a banner at top with the text, "E Ho''I Ho''I MAI I HAWAI''I NEI !" Double arrows pointing upward frame the figure on the left, and double arrows pointing downward frame the figure on the right. "RETURN TO HAWAI ''I NEI !" is printed below the sculpture.

The poster illustrates a wooden support object called Ki`i l_`au that was part of a repatriation conflict between the Roger Williams Park Museum of Natural History in Rhode Island and the Hui Malama I Na Kupuna O Hawaii Nei and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in 1996. The wooden artifact was repatriated after the two parties settled out of court and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs paid $125,000 to the Museum of Natural History.
