Right edge has "Photograph: (c) Bob Seidemann Berkeley Bonaparte P.O. Box 1250 Berkeley, California."
Poster has a black and white photograph of a man standing in front of an opening. The man is standing in the lighted area from the opening with his face in shadow. Seen through the door opening is a large mushroom cloud with an eye, flames, and a human figure. The bottom center edge has "Mutant" printed in black.
According to photographer Bob Seidemann:
"The person in that doorway is David Getz, drummer in Big Brother & the Holding Company, a close friend. The building used for a set is a part of the Lawrence-Livermore Laboratory in Berkeley, under construction at the time. The stuff which appears in that doorway consists of a collage of Einstein's eye, a monk who burned himself in protest of the war in Vietnam and a picture of the first atomic bomb test in New Mexico."
