LA. / Belvedere Park - Rally Starts At 10:00 A.M." This demonstration was one of a series of antiwar actions by Chicano and Latino activists around the country. The East Los Angeles event was the largest by far, drawing as many as 30,000 marchers. Strong law enforcement response resulted in the arrest of approximately 150 people and the death of four. [LMC]
