Poster has a large image in the center of a man's face looking through prison cell bars. He has blood dripping on his forehead. Below is "Remember" printed in red and "Attica" printed in black. In 1971 prisoners rioted at the Attica Correctional Facility in Attica, New York over better living conditions. Several of the leaders had a developed political analysis and raised the confrontation to a deeper level. In the ensuing takeback under the direction of Governor nelson Rockefeller at least 39 people were killed. This poster was produced by the Black Workers Congress, a short-lived labor-based radical organization. [LMC]
