At the top of the engraving is the text: "The Bloody Massacre perpetrated in King Street Boston on March 5th 1770 by of the 29th REG T". The engraving depicts soldiers in red coats at right firing into a crowd of people some lying bleeding on the ground. Below this scene the Engraving has text condemning the depicted massacre and grieving for those lost. The bottom edge of the poster below the image of the engraving has the text in red: "Kent State May 4, 1970". Next to this text is a drawing of four upright coffins.
