Featured African Americans include Marian Anderson, Langston Hughes, Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, Alex Haley, Maya Angelou, Quincy Jones, Bill Cosby, Wilma Rudolph, Arthur Ashe, Alice Walker and Jackie Joyner-Kersee. The names correspond with the image at the right, showing a mural of the individuals with minor illustrations relating to what made each person famous.
