Top of poster has a drawing of a portion of a military aircraft with its bomb bay open and a series of bombs falling from it. At the center of the poster there is a drawing of one of the bombs exploding and the text: " 'winding / it down' ". The bottom of the poster has drawings of stylized flames with three photos of wounded women and children.
This poster title lambastes President Nixon's public position of "winding down" the war, by which he meant reducing U.S. troop deaths by escalating bombing campaigns and requiring greater participation by the South Vietnamese Army. [LMC]
