Bottom left has "The plan of slave-ship showing conditions in which slaves crossed the Atlantic. The slave trade was abolished by Great Britain in 1807, and other countries were persuaded to follow suit in 1815."This poster makes the connection between the inhumane treatment of Vietnamese prisoners by U.S. and allied troops and the treatment of African slaves during the 1700s. [LMC]

Poster has a birght orange background at the top that appears as a Newsweek cover from April 12, 1965. The cover shows a person being arrested by a soldier with the caption, "Profile of The Viet Cong." The bottom half of the poster is bright green with a small Life magazine representation of soldiers walking. On the right is a poem with the outline of a slave ship in the center.
