Poster shows a large purple heart with a lace trim. In the center of the heart is a black and white target with a stream of blood running down from the center of the target to a male figure below. The male figure is holding a United States flag in his left hand. This was one in a series of eleven posters produced by Group Commentary, "...an association of independent Fine Artists who share a deep anguish concerning the present state of American society." They issued a catalog and display ads in newspapers making these works available by mail order. [LMC]
