Poster has white background overall. The center of the poster has a drawing of unwoven warp threads overlaid with a large curling design created by small square pixels of various colors. The drawing is also interspersed with small fragments of decorative designs reminiscent of those of North American Indians, as well as drawings of various female figures. The drawing has text arranged parallel to the various threads that reads: "Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her that struggles for expression. Margaret Sanger. / ...my generation had the privilege, the great honor to fight and bleed in order to improve work today. We worked 80 hours a week in the Triangle Waste Company. You work 35. It took my generation to change conditions to those under which we work today. Pauline Newman. / I know from my experience it is up to the working people to save themselves. / The only way they can save themselves is by a strong working-class movement. Rose Schneiderman / Is anyone such a fool to suppose that out of six thousand factory girls of Lowell, sixty would be there if they could help it? Everybody knows that it is necessity alone, in some form or other, that takes us to Lowell and keeps us there. Sarah G. Bagley / Now, women forget all those things they don't want to remember, and remember everything they don't want to forget. The dream is the truth. Then they act and do things accordingly. Zora Neale Hurston. / But once I had set out, I was already far on my way. Collete. / it is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end. Maggie Kuhn. The militant not the meek, shall inherit the earth. Mother Jones." The lower left corner has the text: "Women's History Month / Our History is Woven From Many Threads / March 1992 - CSEA - SEIU Local 1000".
