The poster has a black border overall. The poster has a large stylized drawing of a female figure, shown from the chest up she is wearing red. The female figure's hair is an elaborate combination of curls and feathers with a sail boat at the top of her head. Behind the female figure four soldiers stand two on either side of her. The solders have red coats and hats and blue trousers, they are holding rifles and swords. The background of the drawing is blue. The bottom of the poster has the text: "By the eighteenth century, the property, wealth and power of the Roman Church had greatly diminished and was supplanted / in many areas by the Reform Protestant church and its sects. Europe had splintered, coming under the domination of / despotic royal families who had secured for themselves control over church and state. Women of these royal families / held tremendous wealth, power and influence. Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria, and her daughter Marie Antoinette, / with the aid of Madame de pompadour (mistress of Louis 15th) were unwittingly instrumental in precipitating the French / Revolution (1789-1792) which, ironically, marked the final dissolution of women's political power and equality in Europe".
