The top of the poster has calligraphy that reads: "Kiss / the Joy / as / it / Flies". Below the poster has a highly stylized, distorted photographic image of a line of people, who appear naked, holding hands and running in the opposite direction of the camera. The bottom of the poster has the text: "He who binds himself a joy / Does its winged life destroy. / But he who kisses the joy as it flies / Lives in Eternity's Sunrise. / -William Blake".
William Blake (1757-1827) penned a poem with a similar phrase, and minister and author Robert Raines wrote a book To Kiss The Joy As It Flies in 1973. [LMC]
