Across the top is the headline, "Sierra Club publications advance this urgent idea: before it is too Late, preserve Earth as a "conservation district" within the Universe, a sort of 'Earth National Park.'" Along the edge are black and white dfrawings of things on earth. In the center is the news article. This campaign, controversial within the Sierra Club, was spearheaded by David Brower. The text was originally a newspaper ad in the New York Times January 14, 1969 written by Jerry Mander. [LMC]
