Above the photograph is "El Teatro Campesino/ Viva La Huelga!" printed in red lettering. In the center is a black eagle UFW logo. Below the photograph is "Farm Workers Theater" printed in red lettering. El Teatro Campesino ("The Farm Workers Theater Troupe") was formed by Luis Valdez in 1965. It was initially used for entertaining and educating farmworkers in Delano, but soon began touring. It sparked a national Chicano theater movement. [LMC]
