The center of the poster has a large black and white photograph of a large set of steps with police escorting people down them and lifting seated people off of them. At the top of the photo is a balcony with a large crowd of people. Below the photo is text in four columns: "City Hall exploded in violence yesterday as a / shouting crowd of 200 demanded entrance / to a hearing of the House Un-American Acti- / vities subcommittee. When a policeman was / knocked down, officers used their clubs and / fire hoses, and the rotunda looked like this. / Most of the crowd had been dispersed or / hauled off to jails, but police were still drag- / ging soaked demonstrators down the stair- / case.
