Facsimile of the bill of rights with 12 articles. At the bottom are the signatures of Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg, Speaker of the House of Representatives and John Adams, Vice President of the United States and President of the Senate. It is attested by John Bickley and Sam A. Otis in the bottom left corner. At the top the poster reads, "Bill of Rights/ Congress of the United States, begun and held at the City of New York on Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine." Across the text near the bottom right, "Void where prohibited by law," is stamped in red.
