Citizens Committee for the Protection of Our Homes and Children, formed by the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, 1924./ Employer groups such as the Associated Industries of Massachusetts and the National Association of Manufacturers effectively stalled child labor legislation for more than thirty years. But a broad coalition of consumer, labor and public interest groups preailed. Now a similar coalition is fighting for pay equity and encountering some of the sam resistance from employer organizations./ Pay Equity. Another step toward justice.
