Poster has a light blue background. The top portion has an image of man in a light blue shirt with purple vest standing next to a soldier in a green uniform. Between the two men is "Join Us" printed in eyllow. Below the image are three bright pink boxes. The text reads, "Berkeley/ Independence Day/ July 4, 1969."

An effort to bridge the hippie-counterculture-peace community and the G.I.-National Guard community, which would have been impossible a year later. Note design flourishes, such as the text linking belt buckles.
