Bottom edge reads, "Twenty-sixth in a series of posters by the East Bay Municipal Utility District to encourage the wise use and conservation of water. Lower right has "Ken Shockey 1985."

Poster has an image of two light blue and light green lupine flowers. At the top is "The Colors of California" in blue lettering. To the left of the flower is "The Bog Lupine is a member of a large, mostly non-thirsty family of California native lupine. Its dramatic spikes of lavedar and blue will bloom btween March and June, reaching a height of eighteen inches to four feet. It is an excellent "Background" plant that grows well in shady places, in soil rich in humus, mulched well with water."
