Poster is printed on brown paper. The poster is a proposal to the United States to protect Alcatraz Island as a sacred area for tribal peoples. At the top of the poster is black text that reads: "Alcatraz / Indians Of All Tribes Proposal / To The Citizens Of The United States". The remainder of the poster is a long segmented block of black text explaining why tribal people do not want Alcatraz to become a national park, but rather remain a sacred and undeveloped area.
