Three (3) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case.  Upper side is orange-brown with large black spots and dark wing borders. Underside looks like a dead leaf and is dark mottled brown with darker wing bases; hindwing does not have a centered silver spot. These range from 1 5/8 x 2 1/4 to 1 3/8 x 1 1/2. The top and bottom butterfly are male and the middle butterfly is female. The last butterfly is folded. Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "Vanessa Californica" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "June 29, 1934" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Ephraim Canyon Sanpete Co. Utah"  In handwritten black ink "California Tortoise". Male and female symbols are stamped below in pink that correspond to the butterflies on recto.
