Three (3) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case. These range in size from 2 x 2 1/4 to 2 5/8 x 2 5/8. These have yellow and brown stripes with two orange and blue spots on the tip on hindwings. They have long thin tails with black and yellow borders. They are all female. Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "P. ajax floridensis" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "April 1929" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Adamstown, Pa." In handwritten black ink "Pawpaw butterfly". Female symbols are stamped below in pink that correspond to the butterflies on recto.
