Three (3) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case. These range in size from 3 1/8 x 3 5/8 to 2 1/4 x 3. These have yellow and brown stripes with two orange and blue spots on the tip on hindwings.  They have long thin tails with black and yellow borders.  Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "P. ajax marcellus" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "July 25, 1929" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Appleton, Tenn."  In handwritten black ink "Pawpaw butterfail [sic]"
