Three (3) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case.  They are arranged in a row.  the butterfly in the middle is folded. Upper surface of hindwing iridescent blue or blue-green. Underside of hindwing with submarginal row of 7 round orange spots in iridescent blue field. The top butterfly is female the rest are male. Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "P. philenor" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "May 1930" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Linden, Ala."  In handwritten black ink "Pipevine Swallowtail". Male and Female symbols are stamped below in pink that correspond to the butterflies on recto.
