Two (2) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case. Upper surface of hind- and forewings with postmedian yellow bands; tails are filled with yellow. Lower surface of hindwing with thin yellow basal stripe and postmedian band of yellow-orange crescents. They are arranged in one column. The top butterfly is male and the lower is female. Verso: from left to bottom from top to bottom "Paplilio Palamedes Aug. 27-31 Tampa Fla [male symbol] The Palamedes Swallowtail [female symbol]" The lower right corner there is a pre-printed label "J.C. Penney Co 12F150 10/ 59 [cent sign]"
