Fifteen (15) butterflies in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case.  They are arranged in three columns. the top nine have an upper side copper brown with dull blue at the bases of both wings. Underside of hindwing is copper brown with white at the base; fringe mostly white; 3 small black spots near base; row of black spots at outer margin. The bottom six have a  blue with purple tinge, some have no white. Underside of forewing with unbroken pale brown bands from costa to inner margin. They range in size from 1/2 x 3/4 to 7/8 x 1 1/8. On the first column the second one is folded on the second column the first and fifth is folded and on the third column the second is folded. Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "Lycaena exilis" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "June 24, 1934" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Inglewood, Calif." Below in hand written black ink is "The Pygmy Blue". A second dark pink stamp that has a box the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "Lycaena marina" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "Sept. 15, 1936" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Inglewood, Calif." Below in hand written black ink is "The Marine Blue"
