Six (6) butterfly in a Riker Mount which is a thin, glass-topped, cotton-filled exhibition case. Forewing tip squared-off. Upper side is black with a wide orange submarginal band which grades to yellow at the inner edge of band. Narrow black marginal border on both wings; the hindwing border may contain some blue spots. They range from 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 x 1 3/4. Verso: A dark pink stamp that has a box with the following information inside: "Collection of Clay Ward Inglewood-California NAME [line] on DATE [line] LOCATION [line]" In black handwritten ink on the NAME line: "Vanessa milbertii" In black handwritten ink on the DATE line: "July 5, 1934" In black handwritten ink on the LOCATION line:"Payson Canyon Utah Co. Utah" Below in hand written black ink is "Milbert's Tortoiseshell"
