This is a black and white photograph of the Beauty and Beast Fountain that appeared in the Court of Flowers of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. The symmetrical composition shows the fountain framed by architectural components in the building behind it. The head of the figure at the top of the fountain appears backlit from a light on the Court of Flowers building at top center.

According to TH: "These four photographs of the 1915 Fair capture the spirit of the most popular photography of the period (Photo Secession). They and the mounts should be of use in any exhibition of the fair."
